Where I Feel Most Alive

i was never the midnight rain.
deep inside my bones, i belong to the waves –
to the hues of the sky as the sun sets down;
i live for slow mornings, where the breeze whispers softly,
and the echoes of birdsong linger in the air.
my soul is a quiet hymn of softness,
and here, in this stillness, i feel most alive.
